Services

Senior engineering, bought by the outcome.

Seven ways to engage. Most projects start with one and borrow from the others, under a single fixed-price agreement.

  • Custom software

A complete system designed and built for the way your business works: the web application, the mobile app, the admin tools and the customer-facing side, delivered as one finished product rather than a kit of parts.

    • Web and mobile applications
    • Internal tools and admin portals
    • Customer portals and payment flows
    • Scope to launch, at a fixed price

Good forBusinesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools.

  • AI and LLM systems

Practical use of large language models inside your business: reading and sorting documents, answering staff and customer questions from your own data, drafting replies, extracting what matters from free text. Built with guardrails, measured against real cases, and priced so it pays for itself.

    • Assistants grounded in your documents and data
    • Document, email and feedback processing
    • Classification, extraction and summarisation at scale
    • Evaluation, cost control and safe rollout

Good forCompanies with people spending their day reading, sorting and re-typing.

  • Solution architecture

Senior technical direction before money is spent. How the pieces should fit, what to build and what to buy, what it will cost to run, and where the risks are. Written down so any team can build from it.

    • System design and technical roadmap
    • Build versus buy decisions
    • Review of an existing system or a vendor's proposal
    • Technical due diligence

Good forOwners and managers who need a senior head without hiring one full time.

    More about Solution architecture
  • Cloud solutions and cost optimisation

Hosting that is secure, backed up and sized for what you actually use, in an account you own. Moving a system to the cloud, getting a new one right from day one, or cutting a cloud bill that has quietly grown.

    • Cloud cost review and right-sizing
    • Set-up and migration
    • Security, backups and monitoring
    • Staff sign-in and access management

Good forCompanies on a server under a desk, or paying for cloud nobody can explain.

More about Cloud solutions and cost optimisation
  • Integration and automation

Connecting the systems you already pay for so information moves on its own: payments to accounting, orders to dispatch, forms to the people who act on them. Fewer re-typed spreadsheets, fewer missed steps.

    • Payments, accounting and CRM connections
    • Automated workflows and notifications
    • Data pipelines and reporting
    • Replacing manual processes

Good forTeams losing hours a week to copy-and-paste between tools.

    More about Integration and automation
  • Modernisation and rescue

Bringing an ageing or struggling system back under control: stabilising it, upgrading what it runs on, documenting how it works, and planning the move to something better without stopping the business.

    • Stabilising a system that keeps breaking
    • Framework and platform upgrades
    • Taking over a codebase from a departed developer
    • Staged replacement with no big-bang cutover

Good forBusinesses that depend on software nobody wants to touch.

    More about Modernisation and rescue
  • Networking, servers and hardware

The physical layer, done properly. Office and site networks, Wi-Fi that reaches the whole building, on-premise servers where the cloud is not the right answer, and the devices your software runs on, from rugged handhelds to printers and scanners.

    • Office and site network design and installation
    • On-premise servers, storage and backups
    • Device selection, set-up and management
    • Secure links between sites and the cloud

Good forWorkshops, depots and offices where the software is only as good as the network under it.

How a project runs

Five steps. The price is fixed at the second one.

A typical build runs six to eight weeks. Each milestone is working software on a test server, not a slide about software.

  1. Step 1: A conversation

    Week 0

A call to understand the problem, the people who will use the system and what finished looks like. No slides, no sales deck.

  2. Step 2: Scope and a fixed quote

    Within a week

A written scope in plain English with a fixed price and a milestone plan. You know the full cost before a line of code is written.

  3. Step 3: Build in milestones

    Weeks 1 to 8, typically

Working software at each milestone, on a test server you can click through yourself. You see progress, not status reports.

  4. Step 4: Launch and handover

    Launch week

The system goes live, your staff are trained, and the handover notes are written. You own the code, the data and the accounts.

  5. Step 5: Support

    After launch

Thirty days of defect fixes are included. After that, a monthly retainer if you want someone on call who already knows the system.

About

A boutique, on purpose.

Infinitech is a small software studio in Auckland, led by senior engineers who have spent their careers building and running systems that cannot be allowed to fail: platforms that take payments and hold customer data for businesses, and the systems behind New Zealand's local government elections.

Most organisations that need software built to that standard are too small for a large consultancy and too important for a freelancer marketplace. Infinitech sits in between: senior work, done end to end, at a price agreed before it starts.

  • Fixed price, in writing

Scope, price and milestones are agreed in a plain-English contract before work begins. Changes are quoted, never slipped in.

  • You own everything

Code in your repository, systems in your cloud account, accounts in your name. Infinitech can be replaced; nothing should depend on that not happening.

  • Built to outlast the invoice

Boring, well-documented technology chosen for the next five years, not the next conference. Another engineer can pick it up without a decoder ring.
