IT for clinics, where downtime means cancelled patients.

A practice can't see patients without its practice management system, its imaging and its booking system. It also holds health information, which the law treats more strictly than almost anything else. We look after clinics with 5 to 30 staff: reliable computers in every room, the network your imaging and phones depend on, patient information locked down properly, and a fast response when a clinic is waiting.

Health information is held to a higher standard

Health information is covered by the Health Information Privacy Code 2020 as well as the Privacy Act. In practice that means strong sign-in, access limited by role, devices that are encrypted and lock themselves when left, and a record of who accessed what. These are built into how every device and account is set up.

Built around clinic hours

Updates, restarts and changes happen outside clinic hours. Treatment-room computers sign in quickly and lock when a clinician walks away. If something breaks during a session, tell us it's urgent and it goes to the front of the queue.

Imaging, devices and the network

X-ray and imaging systems, card terminals, printers and phones all depend on the practice network. It is designed so clinical equipment is kept apart from guest Wi-Fi and staff devices, and so a problem in one place doesn't stop the whole clinic.

Backups that bring the clinic back

If a computer or server fails, or ransomware strikes, what matters is how quickly you can see patients again. Backups are kept separate from the practice network, tested regularly and written up with a restore plan, so recovery is measured in hours rather than days.

Questions people ask

Before you get in touch

Do you support our practice management software?
We look after the computers, servers, network and accounts it runs on, and work with your vendor's support team for problems inside the application. Many vendors want a named IT contact, and that can be us.
Can work be done outside clinic hours?
Yes. Updates and planned changes are scheduled after hours or at weekends, so clinic time isn't interrupted.
What is the Health Information Privacy Code?
It is the set of rules under the Privacy Act for health information, and it applies to anyone providing health services. It expects strong security for patient records. The baseline in every plan covers the technical side. Your practice still owns its policies.
